TIPTON TRINITY MINISTRIES
It takes several people to assist the pastor in making certain that your worship experience is a good one. Here at TWC we are blessed with wonderful equipment to help make this a joyous experience….but it takes volunteers to work the equipment.
Audio Ministry (Rock Pearson) Rock is our “sound” man. He works the “sound board”. His responsibility is to make certain all music comes on when it is suppose to and all microphones are working properly. There are others who have learned to step in and help in this area. Newcomers always welcome if you have the desire to learn.
Video Ministry ( Mikel Fulk) Mikel is our “power point” guy. He displays the words of the songs on our two large screens, lists the activities of the upcoming week and the words of the pastors sermon. If you have a love for computers and want to help in this area, please feel free to contact him and he will be happy to get you “plugged into” this ministry.
Pastoral/Church Secretary (Linda Frazee) Linda assists both pastors in any office needs. She types and coordinates assembly for both the weekly bulletin and monthly newsletter. She is your first contact when calling the offices of TWC.
Library Assistant (Beverly Hudson) Beverly helps you with any materials within the TWC library.
Resource Room Assistant (Marcy Munsell) Marcy helps with the stocking resource and organizing of the room.
Road Sign Ministry (Pastor Doug) Doug is responsible for changing the information on the sign (by the highway) in front of our church.

L.I.F.T. (Maxine Robinson) Ladies in Fellowship Together is a group of women who meet every other Tuesday morning for an hour of devotional and sharing. It is an opportunity to worship and fellowship w/ other woman of the church.
v The ladies attempt serving by doing an intentional act of kindness to those in need.
v They attempt taking a quarterly trip to lunch at a little café.

The Fire (Murt McLeod) This men’s group enables the men of TWC to nourish a deep and intimate relationship with the Lord. They meet to study God’s word once a month (every 4th Tuesday).
v They meet for Monday Night Football.
v Once a year (at varying times) the do a camping trip, golf outing and a banquet.

v They also attempt doing a monthly event as desired.
v The men also do outreach community projects. Usually of a manly nature (assist in building or painting, etc.).
v Valet parking, during severe weather, is offered to those attending a church service.

S.O.A.R. (Stephen Hudson) This Singles group meet every first and third Tuesday of each month, in the café. They share a meal and then study the Word of God and/or a book relating to single Christian living. It is a great opportunity for singles to share the joys and obstacles of being single and living a Christian life in today’s world.
v Throughout the year they will attend concerts, plays, shopping trips and organize a game night.
v They serve several areas within the community. They volunteer one Saturday a month at Second Blessing Thrift Store helping in anyway needed.
v Taking meals or snacks to shut ins and spent time fellowshipping.
v Every November this group supplies a meal for the elderly singles of the church. They exchange gifts, play games and most important just spend time w/ them to share blessings and concerns.

B.Y.F. (JoAnn Schroeder) The Best Year Fellowship is a group of men/women over fifty. They meet the 4th Thursday of each month in the café. They meet to fellowship and have fun. This is an opportunity to be able to share your love of Jesus Christ in an adult only setting. This group never sits still.
v Twice a year (spring/fall) they take a really nice bus/car trip.
v They share in occasional pitch-in meals or just go out to eat together.
v Every Christmas season they attempt a road trip to enjoy the beauty of the season.
v They also participate in the trips with the district BYF group.
Sunday School adult classes are offered at TWC. They range in a wide variety of topics to attempt to meet everyone’s needs or desires. The classes differ from the standard “old stand by” topic/book study to the more unique and current topics/book. The classes are every Sunday from 9:30-10:30AM.
Small Groups (Pastor Keith -- Allison’s -- Pearson’s -- Robinson/Retherford’s --Day’s – Nancy Poer) TWC believes strongly in the purpose of enriching and growing in your Christian life through a small group experience. This is a way to discuss how “you” apply what you learn in the service to “your” life. Because it is such a small group of people you develop a sense of trust and confidence. There are numerous small groups that meet in the home of the leader (mentioned above) every Sunday evening at 6PM (unless otherwise stated). They do not meet May-August for a summer break.
Wednesday Night Huddle (Pastor Doug) This is the replacement for the normal Wednesday night service. It is a more intimate opportunity to read, discuss and share God’s word.

GAP (Chris Robinson) Gap is a student- based ministry, open to any youth 6th – 12th grade, who wants to grow closer to the Lord. It is a platform for pre-teen and teens to be together with others their age, who want to be in a safe environment to study and discuss Jesus Christ and grow closer to one another. This group meets each Wednesday (in the Loft @ TWC) 7-8:15PM. Every Sunday evening they have what they like to call SNL (Sunday Night Live) at the home of Rod and Carla Meyer at 6PM. This is a fun group to belong too and grow with.
v Many fund raising events throughout the year are performed to make money.
v Once a year several GAP members go to the national Christian Youth meeting. They usually take place at nice locations (Florida, etc.).
v They assist with helping serve and bus tables at large church meals or the dinner theater.

UPWARD
BASKETBALL & CHEERLEADING
Designed for Kindergarten through sixth grade boys and girls, Upward offers an evangelistic sports ministry that promotes character, self-esteem and salvation for every child. It also provides opportunities for volunteers from all walks of life to become meaningfully involved in the ministries of our church. These volunteers have the opportunity to pray for our program, coach a team, referee a game, share a devotion, and develop relationships in order to open avenues of ministry to the people of our community who will participate in our program. upward@tiptontrinity.com

Co-Ed Softball Team (Alan Boughton) This is a fun summer activity for young adults through ?????? (old adults). The team holds a few practices and then creates a summer schedule, playing other area church teams. It is a fun way to stay young ….at least at heart. It’s as much fun watching the games as playing in them. Plus we can get out of bed the next morning (ha ha).
UPWARD Basketball (Ken Ehman) Designed for K-6th grade boys and girls. Upward basketball offers an evangelistic sports ministry that promotes character, self-esteem and salvation for every child. Each child is taught the fundamentals of the game of basketball. They are also given the opportunity to begin learning a team sport concept, while being in a Christian environment. The program is open to children from TWC and our surrounding community/communities. This is an excellent opportunity for TWC to minister far beyond our walls. The season is every Saturday, January through March. Our volunteers have the privilege to pray for the children and the program, coach, referee a game, share devotions (during halftime) and develop relationships. upward@tiptontrinity.com
v Many tasks fall under the upwards umbrella- Ken oversees the equipment, evaluates the skill levels, assists the head coaches w/ practice and games, assists in taking registrations and answering questions about the program as well as schedules greeters to greet the players and spectators as the come and leave the games.
v Randall Hudson is in charge of Upward Scoreboards (keeps scores/runs clock).
v Murt McLeod is the Game Day Crew Leader. He makes certain the gym is set up for the games.
v
Lori Slack is in charge on Concessions.
She schedules needed workers and makes supply purchases.
v
Rod Meyer commits to entering all Upward
Data into the TWC Upward system for tracking purposes.
Greeting Ministry (Rock/Karen Pearson) TWC believes everyone feels more welcomed when greeted at the door. So we have a ministry just for that very reason. God wants us all to feel welcome when entering his house. With a number of volunteers we have one or two friendly people at both east and west end of the church to make you feel welcome in joining our services at Trinity Wesleyan. IF you are new to our church, you will be shown over to our Welcome Center. Here you will be greeted by a couple other people who will be happy to answer any questions you may have about our church.
Website ministry (Rod Meyer) TWC is very proud of their website. It is a tool in which we can reach and inform people of our services and many ministries. Rod continually updates the format and information so it is easy to maneuver around and always supplies the most updated information. - webadmin@tiptontrinity.com
Music ministry (Jerry Day) The ministry consists of the singers, instrumental and special music. It is a way to worship the Lord through music. If you have a talent or desire to sing praises. This could be your spot.
v The singers are called “Praise Team” they lead the music in each service.
v Piano/Organ players assist the praise team with instrumentals.
v Special music is provided each service. This is usually an individual that uses his/her talent to sing praises to God.
Building ministry (Bud/Annie Stevens) The purpose of this ministry is to maintain our building. More work is involved after wedding and special events. This is the house of the Lord, we want to keep it at it’s best.
Outside Grounds Ministry (Charles Hudson) Keeping the lawn and landscape maintained. More work in the spring and summer.
Visitation Ministry (Pastor Keith) Pastor Keith or anyone else involved in these visits.
v Homebound TWC attendees/members are visited, as needed. The fellowship is appreciated as well as the church material and tapes.
v Both pastors are required or requested do hospital visits as needed.
Prayer Ministry (Maxine Robinson) Gatekeepers is a group of Christ followers who help guard the “spiritual gates” of Trinity Wesleyan Church (TWC) by praying for specific concerns of the ministerial staff and church family. Each member of this team is assigned a day of the month to pray. A team of two gatekeepers meets, in the prayer chapel, during either an early or late Sunday service, to pray for the assigned topics. Those two people meet w/ the Lead Pastor the Wednesday evening (prior to their assigned Sunday) at 6:30PM. This meeting only lasts 10-15 minutes and they are informed on what their prayer topics need to be (which is usually to prayer for the topic of the sermon and the pastoral staff).
Prayer Chain (Anne Stevens-telephone and Reba Howery-email) This ministry is an awesome way to communicate your prayer request/need with various members of TWC. If you have a prayer concern that you want to share, please contact one of these ladies. Numerous people will be in prayer, for your specific concern, within minutes.
Choir/Drama Worship Ministry (Randall Hudson) God appreciates it when you use your talent to lift him up, either in song or in acting out one of his many stories. If you have a desire to show up what YOU can do in either area. Please consider joining these much needed areas of our church.
L.I.N.K. (Rachel Retherford) “Linking in Need and Kindness” is a NEW ministry for TWC. link@tiptontrinity.com It is an attempt to “link” two or more people together to fulfill a need. I will use the website and a bulletin board (at church) to anonymously list a person’s need, in hopes that someone else connected to TWC can fulfill that need. We all could use a little help every now and then.
